🔻US Dollar Price Rises in Tehran’s Unofficial Currency Market The price of the US dollar in Tehran’s unofficial currency market increased on Wednesday. According to reports from Tehran, today each US dollar was traded for more than 230,000 tomans. The website of the Donyaye Eqtesad newspaper says the prices of two major currencies have risen compared with Tuesday. The euro, the currency of the European Union, was close to 269,000 tomans, and each British pound was a little less than 311,000 tomans. A rise in currency prices means a decrease in the value of the rial, Iran’s national currency. This situation reduces purchasing power in rials.
