🔸Ukrainian officials said that Ukrainian forces are using a low-cost and unconventional method to counter Russian Shahed drones, reminiscent of the aerial battles of World War I.

🔸Propeller aircraft Yak-52 in the skies over Odesa intercept the drones.

🔸In this operation, the pilot approaches the drone and the shooter fires at it with a rifle from an open cockpit. One unit member says that he shot down 12 drones in a day, six of which were targeted in a single flight.

🔸Three of these inexpensive aircraft were purchased with funding from the Dutch organization “Protect Ukraine,” providing an innovative way to defend the skies of Ukraine.
