🔻U.S. Ambassador to the UN: Trump has stopped the attacks to give diplomacy a chance

The U.S. ambassador to the UN said that Donald Trump has stopped attacks on Iran in order to give diplomacy an opportunity.

Michael Waltz said to Fox News: “He has given negotiations a little space. A little room has been made for discussion.”

Mr. Waltz did not provide further details about the nature of these negotiations.

After about two weeks of consecutive attacks, from the evening of Friday the U.S. attacks were stopped.

In response to a question about the halt in attacks, Mr. Waltz said: “The president has always made it clear that he prefers a diplomatic solution, but at the same time he has shown Iran what consequences it would face if this country does not come to the negotiating table with serious intent to negotiate.”
