Shahrokh Kafashzadeh’s debut album was unveiled on Saturday, September 7, 1405, at the “MahroMāh” House of Culture and Arts. “Street Songs” is the title of the first album by this Iranian singer, who started his own path in street music.

In this album, pieces influenced by the Dey massacre and the events and social conditions in Iran in recent years attract attention. The two tracks “Qaqnūs” and “The Year That Doesn’t Get Delivered” refer to the extensive crackdown on the protests of Dey 1404, whose lyrics were written by “Heila Sadeghi.”

Heila Sadeghi, who is the manager and founder of the MahroMāh House of Culture and Arts, in the unveiling ceremony for the album, pointed to the impact of the events of Dey and the mental state of all Iranians in the past months. She also, referring to Shahrokh Kafashzadeh’s harmony with some of Iran’s talented girls, expressed hope that we would witness the unveiling of an album of girls’ music and the freedom of women’s voices.
