Netanyahu says the overthrow of the Islamic Republic is “fully within reach”

🔸Israel’s prime minister says he is confident in the possibility of a near-term overthrow of the Islamic Republic.

🔸Benjamin Netanyahu, on Thursday, ۱۲ Shahrivar, said the Iranian government is weaker than at any time before.

🔸Meeting with the commanders of the Israeli army, Netanyahu said: “This regime is tottering. It has become weaker than at any time, and it is fighting for its survival.”

🔸Recently, U.S. President Donald Trump had also raised a similar point.

🔸Netanyahu emphasized: “I am completely convinced that we can eliminate this threat once and for all—by toppling this regime. This remains the main objective we have in front of us; but it’s not out of reach. It’s not impossible. It is fully within reach.”

🔸The Israeli prime minister added: “It’s no coincidence that [these days] they are not attacking us. They attack everyone; except us.”

🔸According to Netanyahu, the reason for this is “Iran’s understanding of Israel’s capabilities—its weapons’ power—and the commitment of its forces.”

🔸Netanyahu’s latest remarks come ahead of the general election in this country, which is expected to be held in about six or seven weeks.

🔸While the opposition to the Israeli government accuses Netanyahu of failing against Iran, some polls also indicate that the prime minister and his party are trailing behind their rivals.
