🔻 Saudi Civil Defense: Danger in Yanbu has been resolved

Saudi Civil Defense has announced that the danger in Yanbu Province has been resolved and asked residents to continue to follow safety instructions and to avoid gatherings and filming.

Earlier, this agency had also asked the public, in the context of an emergency situation, to go to the nearest safe location inside the building after receiving the warning and to stay away from windows and not leave the premises until the danger has been lifted.

These warnings were issued a few hours after Yemen’s Houthis announced that, in response to attacks by the coalition led by Saudi Arabia on the group’s positions in Hodeidah, they would carry out retaliatory action. Saudi officials have not yet provided an explanation about the nature of the danger in Yanbu or whether it is linked to the Houthi threat.
