On the fourth anniversary of the government killing of Jina Mahsa Amini, Amnesty International announced, with the publication of a detailed report on the crackdown of the uprising of “Woman, Life, Freedom,” that the Islamic Republic has committed “crimes against humanity” during these protests.

Amnesty International called on prosecutors around the world to investigate the officials involved in suppressing protesters in Iran and, if there is sufficient evidence, to issue arrest warrants for them.

In its investigations, Amnesty International identified 87 officials of the Islamic Republic who should be subject to criminal investigations in connection with the “commission of crimes against humanity.”

The list includes 62 commanders of security forces, including 33 commanders of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps and 27 commanders of the Law Enforcement Force (FARAJA), as well as 25 officials from the Ministry of Interior, including a number of governors and deputy governors.

Of these individuals, 10 are national-level officials and 77 are regional, provincial, and county-level officials who had responsibilities in 17 counties in the provinces of Kurdistan, Kermanshah, and West Azerbaijan.

At the top of this list are the names Ali Khamenei, Mohammad Baqeri, Hossein Salami, and Mohammad Pakpour, all of whom were killed during the 12-day and 40-day wars.

Ahmad Vahidi, the Minister of Interior at the time of the protests in 1401 and the current commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, is also among the individuals whose names appear in this list.
