For the second year in a row, a large parade of Russia’s fleet in St. Petersburg was postponed in silence.

Instead, Putin visited the command of the Russian Navy, spoke with his fleet commanders through video calls (who were safely on land), awarded medals for the war in Ukraine, and delivered the same usual lines about “dealing a blow” and a powerful nuclear triad.
