Mohammad Nazyfi, CEO of the Energy Exchange, Thursday, 12 Shahrivar, in an interview with Tasnim News Agency, said: “The country faces multiple challenges in the sale of oil, and in the area of settling completed transactions and the sale of oil there have been significant problems.”
The Energy Exchange CEO added that a significant portion of energy’s physical transactions on this exchange is carried out for export destinations, and export oil can also be traded through this market.
Nazyfi said that if the groundwork for physical transactions is provided, the sale and delivery of oil on the Energy Exchange will make it possible to use financial instruments related to this field as well. He said this measure can help finance the development of upstream oil and gas industries.
Nazyfi also said: “The offering of oil on the Energy Exchange can lead to diversification of the country’s oil-selling methods.”
In the end, he expressed hope that the Ministry of Oil will also take steps to use this capacity so that oil transactions on the Energy Exchange begin.
