Chris Wright, U.S. Energy Secretary, said in an interview with CNN: "Iranians are still creating problems, but the U.S. Navy is winning this battle."
Wright said that at present, on average, more than 9 million barrels of oil per day are passing through the Strait of Hormuz, and, taking into account the pipeline routes that bypass this waterway, the flow of oil transfer has reached two-thirds or more of the level before the start of the hostilities.
Reuters reported that before the start of the hostilities, about one-fifth of global oil supply passed through the Strait of Hormuz. The Islamic Republic has blockaded the strait, and the United States has also implemented a blockade of Iranian oil exports since mid-April.
CENTCOM announced on Sunday, 15 Shahrivar, that U.S. forces, in order to carry out the maritime blockade, have so far diverted the routes of 92 commercial vessels, disabled three ships, and boarded two vessels.
