🔸Abolfazl Qadiani, a political prisoner held in Evin Prison, rejected the Islamic Republic’s account of the role of “foreign-backed terrorists” in killing the protesters of Dey 1404 (January 2026) and said government forces were responsible for a “massacre.”

🔸In a statement that he wrote on Shahrivar 24 from Ward Seven of Evin Prison, Qadiani, referring to the Bahman 22 rallies and government gatherings in recent months, asked if the gunmen who shot at protesters were “terrorists,” as the government claims, why there was no sign of them at government gatherings held under security.

🔸He asked media outlets and human rights institutions to question this contradiction in the Islamic Republic’s narrative and wrote: “There has been and is no terrorism, and the killers […] are the same forces […] of the ruling authority.”

🔸Qadiani also in this statement blamed Ali Khamenei and his son Mojtaba Khamenei for this “heinous crime,” and accused government forces of shooting at protesters.
