A source with knowledge told Iran International that Narges Heydari, a political prisoner from Izeh who is being held in Sepidar Prison in Ahvaz, has been sentenced by a court to five years in prison and one year of additional punishment under the heading of “enjoining good.”

According to this source, the additional punishment was issued due to Narges Heydari’s sports activities without observing compulsory hijab.

Narges Heydari, born in 1367, a fitness coach, was arrested in Izeh on 29 Dey 1404.

Earlier, her brother, Na’mat Heydari, had also been arrested on 9 Dey 1404.
