Mehdi Bayat, member of the presidium of the Parliament’s Commission on Councils, said on Tuesday, 28 Shahrivar, in an interview with Khane Mellat, that the Persian Gulf and the regional waters would be turned into a “cemetery of invading ships” in the event of any U.S. military adventurism.
The member of the presidium of the Parliament’s Commission on Councils said: “Iranian armed forces are in full defensive readiness, and any military adventure by Washington will be met with a decisive response.”
Bayat also added that the United States should know that military moves and displays of power do not weaken Iran’s national will, and regional security cannot be ensured through threats and the dispatch of military equipment.
In closing, this member of parliament said: “Such actions will impose heavy economic and military costs on this country more than anything that would bring an achievement to Washington.”
