🔻Ahmed Aryayinezhad, the representative of Malayer in Iran’s parliament, in a television debate, described the killing of Mahsa (Zhina) Amini with an insulting remark and called the protests after her death “eight months of unrest.”

These remarks were raised in Tehran Municipality media (Hamshahri).

In part of his remarks, Mr. Aryayinezhad, when referring to Mahsa Amini’s death while in the custody of the Guidance Patrol, used the phrase “to reach the afterlife,” a wording that met with a reaction from Mahsa Amini’s family.

Mahsa Amini’s father and mother, in joint stories on social media, called the statements of this parliament member “insulting” and said that such remarks do not diminish the value and standing of their daughter.

They also, while referring to their daughter’s death in Shahrivar 1401 and the widespread protests that followed, emphasized that Zhina’s name will remain in the history of Iran.

Amjad Amini, Mahsa’s father, wrote in a part of his message: “Our daughter’s name, alongside thousands of other innocent people, will be immortal forever in the history of this country.”

Mahsa Amini, 22 years old, from Saqqez, after being detained by the Guidance Patrol in Tehran in Shahrivar 1401, fell into a coma and died three days later in the hospital.
