The U.S. Southern Command, SOUTHCOM, announced that American forces on 25 Shahrivar intercepted a vessel linked to a drug smuggling operation in the eastern Pacific Ocean.

According to the command, the people aboard the vessel were handed over to Ecuadorian authorities, and after the vessel was offloaded, the American forces sank it.
