The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) in two consecutive statements claimed attacks on U.S. targets in Jordan and Kuwait.

Based on the issued statement, the IRGC, in the 21st wave of Operation “Nasr 2,” targeted U.S. C-17 transport aircraft and the United States’ P-8 command-and-control aircraft at Aqaba Airport in Jordan with ballistic missiles.

In another statement, the IRGC also claimed that it destroyed an early-warning radar system and hit a hangar of MQ-9 drones at the Ali Al-Salem base in Kuwait.

Despite the targeting of non-civilian facilities in these countries, in recent days the IRGC had also issued similar statements claiming attacks on U.S. infrastructure.

The U.S. Embassy said on Sunday that Jordanian officials had evacuated the airport and the port of Aqaba following a specific and credible threat.
