🔶 Saudi Arabia condemns Iran attack on the «Seder» oil tanker in the Strait of Hormuz

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Wednesday, 11 Shahrivar (September 2), in a statement condemned Iran’s action of targeting the Saudi oil tanker «Seder» as it transited the Strait of Hormuz, and the deaths of a number of crew members of this tanker.

The Saudi National Shipping Company, «Al Bahria» (البحری), said that two Filipino crew members were killed in the attack on the «Seder» tanker on Monday, August 31, as it passed through the Strait of Hormuz.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) organization had said on the day of the incident that a tanker, while exiting the Strait of Hormuz, was targeted with three unidentified projectiles.

Iran had previously threatened tankers that, without authorization, intended to pass through this narrow waterway.

Saudi Arabia also condemned the Islamic Republic’s attacks on Jordan, Bahrain, and Kuwait, and emphasized full solidarity with these three countries and support for their actions to protect their security and sovereignty against any threat.
