Politico reports that Jilin Chemical Fibers Group, a Chinese state-owned company, supplied 46 tons of PAN precursor to a sanctioned subsidiary of Rosatom that produces carbon fiber for Russia’s lightweight attack drones.
Evidence examined by U.S., British, and Ukrainian officials reportedly suggests that the shipment was concealed under a non-military customs code.
Experts estimate that the materials could support production of up to 1,300 drones and say this evidence may justify new sanctions against the Chinese supplier.
Beijing denies providing lethal weapons and says it strictly controls dual-use exports.
