🔻Naz Rekabi, a rock climber, on the fourth anniversary of the killing of Mahsa Amini and the start of the “Woman, Life, Freedom” movement, emphasized the importance of standing firm to achieve freedom by posting on her Instagram page.
🔹Rekabi wrote: “Four years ago, just these days, the death of Mahsa Amini was a spark for me and for many others in the darkness we had grown accustomed to for years. From that day, alongside all the ways that led us toward our goals, another path also opened: that it’s not only important where you reach, but also how you live on the way to getting there.”
🔹In continuing, she stressed the message of this movement and wrote: “Woman, Life, Freedom speaks of life; of a life in which we are not afraid to express our demands, in which we do not sacrifice our lives for freedom, and in which the cost of our cries, our choices, and our protests is not that we are threatened, erased from tomorrow, and deprived of opportunities. Freedom must be simple, like breathing. Long live Iran and the Iranian people. Woman. Life. Freedom.”
