The Lebanese army, while condemning the continued Israeli attacks near its positions in the south of the country, announced that these attacks have disrupted the process of deploying army forces and carrying out the assigned missions.

The Lebanese army said that the continuation of the attacks would prevent the completion of the forces’ deployment, the return of local residents, and the establishment of stability in southern Lebanon.

Based on an agreement between Israel and Lebanon, the Lebanese army was supposed to be deployed, within the framework of a pilot plan, in positions that the Israeli army evacuates; a plan that has been described as aiming to clear southern Lebanon of Hezbollah forces and weapons.
