Hamas says Israel has killed Wael al-Ladawi, head of the internal security service in central Gaza.

The man was killed in an attack on a vehicle on Sunday in Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip.

According to a statement by the Ministry of the Interior in the Gaza Strip, al-Ladawi held a rank equivalent to that of a colonel and headed the internal security service in the central governorate of Gaza, which is one of Hamas’s security entities.

The ministry also added that another security official named Taufiq Abu Zariq, who held the rank of major, was also killed in the attack.
