Channel 13 Israel reported that the country’s army is, following the escalation of clashes in Yemen and developments in the Bab al-Mandab Strait, keeping an eye on the region and preparing for the possibility of ballistic missile and drone launches from Yemen toward Israel.
According to this report, one of the main concerns of the Israeli army is the possibility of a Houthi attack from the coasts of Yemen on ships and its consequences for global trade. The Israeli army is also examining the effects of developments in Yemen on tensions between the United States and the Islamic Republic in the Strait of Hormuz.
Donald Trump, the U.S. president, during a trip to Dublin said it is likely that the Islamic Republic is behind the attack on the “East-West” strategic pipeline of Saudi Arabia.
The outlet also reported, citing a source, that Trump told Mohammed bin Salman, Saudi Arabia’s crown prince, that the United States will provide Riyadh with the information and assistance needed to identify and select Houthi targets in Yemen.
