Ata Hosseiniyan, an economic journalist and energy sector reporter, referring to the removal of subsidized gasoline quotas for cars with prices above one billion tomans, said the government, instead of increasing the price of gasoline all at once, is taking steps to reduce cheaper quotas gradually.
He added that the government is moving toward making 10,000-toman gasoline gradually replace quotas of 1,500 and 3,000 tomans, removing the fuel subsidy from in front of the people, reducing people’s livelihoods, and adding its income to its own coffers.
