Based on Financial Times investigations, since 2023 Russia has helped the Islamic Republic, within the framework of a secret program, to develop ramjet engines and hypersonic cruise missiles. This cooperation has included the transfer of technical information and trips by Russian engineers to Iran, and has continued until 2026.
