🔸U.S. President Donald Trump, on Thursday, in a fresh message on his social media network, threatened that it would hold the Islamic Republic responsible for any threatening actions by the Shiite Houthis of Yemen.
🔸He wrote that since a year ago, when the United States attacked the Houthis, they have not taken any action and even during the war between the United States and Iran, they kept themselves out and “behaved responsibly,” but again “unfortunately they have started once more.”
🔸The U.S. president then referred to the Houthis’ shelling of two ships of Saudi Arabia the previous night.
🔸Trump further issued the following warning: “If they do such an action again, the United States will consider Iran responsible, because the Houthis are Iran’s proxy force, and in that case, a major military punishment will be in store for Iran as well as for the Houthis.”
🔸In the early hours of Thursday, the Houthis claimed an attack on two Saudi oil tankers. The group identified the two tankers as “Enselia” and “Lilya,” and claimed that these vessels had violated the sea blockade imposed by the group.
