U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM), in response to Iran International, confirmed that small boats belonging to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps recently attempted to seize an American surface patrol vessel, but failed with a firm response from U.S. forces.

CENTCOM added that the patrol vessel remains under U.S. operational control.
