Iraq’s Security Information Center said that the competent security agencies have begun administrative and security arrangements at several border crossings, which requires closing them.

Based on a statement by the center published on Saturday, “a set of necessary legal measures has been carried out, and information gathering, investigation, and review to identify aspects of the violations and offenses that occurred at these crossings, as well as the development of appropriate solutions and remedies, has been intensified.”

According to a report by Shafaq News Agency, the decision was taken after an attack from Iraqi territory on facilities in Saudi Arabia. As reported by Shafaq News, the order to close the crossings and remove personnel from them was issued by the Joint Command of Iraq’s Armed Forces.
