⚡The head of the Commission for Support of Lawyers of the Bar Association of the Fars Region has said that a judicial case has been filed for around 20 lawyers, following the protests of Dey.
According to a report by the Committee for the Freedom of Political Prisoners in Iran, Mostafa Ansari claimed that 12 of these individuals were detained and that the cases of some of them are still in various stages of judicial review.
According to him, three female lawyers were also held in detention for about three months and have recently been released.
According to this report, the handling of some cases is still continuing in the court of first instance or on appeal, and final verdicts have been issued for some of the lawyers.
Among the announced rulings, two lawyers were sentenced to final terms of one year and three years in prison, respectively.
The continued judicial proceedings in the cases of these lawyers in Fars have increased concerns about judicial pressure on lawyers who were active during the protests and related cases.
