🔻Georgia has announced that, in response to new U.S. sanctions against Iranian airline companies, it will implement this country’s restrictions on flights by Iranian companies. According to published reports, the latest flights are scheduled to take place on Sunday, 29 Shahrivar.

Georgia’s Civil Aviation Organization has said that Tbilisi will comply with the international sanctions regime in its dealings with Iranian airline companies. The new U.S. sanctions, which were announced last week—on September 8—also include several companies operating on air routes between Iran and Georgia.

According to reports from Iranian media, after the completion of the last scheduled flights on Sunday, flights by Iranian companies to Georgia will be suspended.
