🔻The funeral ceremony for Akbar Abdi, a prominent Iranian film and television actor, was held this morning in Tehran with the presence of his family and a group of artists.

Before the burial ceremony, at an gathering held in front of Vahdat Hall with the presence of a number of people from the world of cinema, television, and fans of this artist, several artists and filmmakers, including Homayoun Assadian, the managing director of the House of Cinema, Abdullah Eskandari, a veteran make-up artist, Masoud Jafari Jozani, a film director, and Mina Jafarzadeh, an actress, spoke about Akbar Abdi’s years of artistic activity in cinema and television.

He is due to be laid to rest in the Artists’ section of Behesht-e Zahra.

Akbar Abdi died two days ago (2 Mordad) at the age of 66, after a long illness.

His roles in the film “The Tenants,” the work of Dariush Mehrjویی, “Mother” by Ali Hatami, and two films from “Actor and Nasser al-Din Shah” of the cinema series directed by Mohsen Makhmalbaf are among Akbar Abdi’s enduring works.
