Europe's wildfires in pictures

Over 300,000 people have been evacuated across Spain and France as uncontrolled wildfires tear through heatwave-stricken regions of Gironde, Madrid and Valencia.

Italy, Portugal and the UK are also affected by blazes, with fires in Europe's north posing their own problems.

With more hot weather predicted across Europe in the coming week, many evacuees are left wondering if and when they will be able to return to their homes.
