Ali Nikzad, Deputy Speaker of the Parliament, said in a pre-agenda speech during the “virtual session of the Parliament”: “The Islamic Republic will not come to a halt in seeking revenge, and the rule governing the Strait of Hormuz will not return to the conditions before the war.”

Referring to Ukraine’s attack on an Iranian vessel in the Caspian Sea, he said: “The foolish act by the Ukrainian government will not go unanswered.”

Nikzad continued: “The Islamic Republic will always exercise its legal right in defending its territorial integrity, and any point that is certainly the origin of aggression against our country and our land will, without doubt, be a legitimate target of our armed forces.”
