The U.S. maritime blockade against Iran remains fully in place. As of July 25, the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) has redirected the routes of 12 commercial vessels that intended to violate the blockade, stopped 2 noncompliant vessels from sailing, and conducted inspections of 2 vessels to ensure the blockade is fully enforced.

Earlier today, U.S. forces in the Arabian Sea completed inspection and verification operations of the M/T Charminar oil tanker flying the Comoros flag, and the tanker is now continuing on its route.

On July 24 as well, CENTCOM forces stopped the M/T Lavin oil tanker flying the flag of Mozambique in the Sea of Oman after its crew made several attempts to violate the blockade and ignored repeated warnings. The vessel is no longer headed toward Iran.

U.S. forces continue to carry out their missions with vigilance, focus, readiness, and full combat capability.
