Yemen’s legitimate government announced that in a missile attack by Houthi rebels on the vicinity of the Presidential Palace in Aden, at least five people were killed and 16 others were injured.
Maamar Al-Eryani, Yemen’s information minister, said in this regard that the Houthis launched five missiles at this area.
The Yemeni government noted that the prime minister and other government officials are in good health, but two of the prime minister’s personal guards were killed in the attack.
Al Jazeera, citing a correspondent based in Yemen, said that the attack on Aden is the first time that the Houthis have targeted the headquarters of Yemen’s legitimate government.
After the Houthi rebels seized Sanaa in 2014, the official Yemeni government moved its headquarters to Aden.
