🔶 Yemen’s army: In 24 hours, we carried out 414 attacks against Houthi positions

The Turkish Anadolu news agency on Wednesday morning, 8 Mehr (30 September), citing Majid al-Nuzili, the spokesperson for the legal government’s army in Yemen, reported that within 24 hours, 414 operations were carried out against the Houthis across different fronts. According to this report, the Houthi forces’ reinforcements and military capabilities were targeted.

The spokesperson for the Yemen army did not provide figures on casualties, and the Houthis, as of the time this report was published, had not responded to the news.

The Ministry of Defense of Yemen had also announced a day earlier that government forces carried out 356 operations against Houthi positions across 10 fronts. According to the ministry, during these operations, 476 members of the group were killed or injured.

Fighting in Yemen began in 2014 after the Houthis, supported by Iran, seized Sana’a and parts of the country. A coalition led by Saudi Arabia also entered the war in 2015 in support of the internationally recognized government of Yemen.

Fighting intensified again in September 2026. The Houthis captured important parts of the provinces of Hodeidah and Taiz, including the strategic city of Mocha, and have reached the island of Mayun near the Bab el-Mandeb strait.
