🔶 Yemen government forces "have taken back Al-Mokha port from the Houthis"

Yemeni government forces supported by Saudi Arabia announced that the port city of Al-Mokha on the Red Sea coast has been taken out of the control of the Houthis after several weeks of fighting. The city was seized by the Houthis in early September, and its capture raised concerns about the security of one of the world’s most important shipping routes.

The official news agency Saba, citing a military source, reported that forces of the “People’s Shield,” the “Southern Giants” brigades, and the “Resistance of Tihamah” have entered Al-Mokha with air support. According to the source, fierce clashes have taken place around the city, and a number of Houthi forces have been killed or wounded. Some have also been taken prisoner.
