Saba Alaleh, a psychologist, told Iran International that linking symbols such as the call to prayer with the topic of executions reflects bitter experiences and the change in the mindset of Iran’s younger generation.

According to her, a generation that was supposed to be raised with ideological teachings has today become one of the most important social and political actors. By recounting their experiences, they are trying to challenge the Islamic Republic’s official narrative and convey the voice of protest to society.
