According to information received by Iran International, Ali Rezaei, 28, from Amol, has been sentenced by the Revolutionary Court of this city to 46 months in prison. In another case, due to posting a story about the death of Aredita Garavand in 1402, a suspended one-year prison sentence has been issued for him.
Ali Rezaei was arrested on Dey 15 and kept in quarantine at Amol prison for four months. According to information received, during his detention he was denied access to a lawyer, and during the course of his arrest, he suffered a broken nose as a result of blows by agents.
Based on this information, Rezaei’s family had been unaware of his situation for about two weeks. He also went on a hunger strike in protest of what he described as torture and pressures during his detention.
