🔺Video attributed to IRGC claims about an oil tanker hitting a mine in the Strait of Hormuz
▪The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that in the early hours of October 25 (25 Mehr), an oil tanker, while transiting the Strait of Hormuz, hit a sea mine, which then exploded and caught fire.
▪It has been claimed that the ship was carrying more than two million barrels of crude oil and was traveling along a route that the Islamic Republic does not permit.
▪Reports have not provided the name of the vessel, its flag, its owner, or the fate of the crew, and no independent maritime source has confirmed the claim until the time this news was published.
▪This is the fourth similar claim made by the IRGC in the past eight days.
▪Based on data from the Joint Maritime Information Center, since February 10 (10 Esfand), 149 confirmed maritime incidents have been recorded, and within this period no confirmed mine collision has been among these incidents.
