'Very good meeting': Trump says US officials met with Iran delegation

US President Donald Trump told reporters that senior US envoys Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner concluded a three-hour meeting with an Iranian delegation on Tuesday.

Describing the talks as "very good" and "productive," Trump noted that a follow-up meeting is already scheduled in the near future while framing Iran's options as a stark choice between "potential greatness" or "obliteration."

Iran engaged with the United States through a Qatari mediator in New York and conveyed conditions including an end to the war on all fronts and a halt to what Tehran called US "acts of aggression," Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei told state news agency IRNA.
