US threatens to cut intel sharing with Ukraine in push to protect Russian oil refineries, sources confirm

The Trump administration threatened senior Ukrainian officials with a total cutoff of U.S. intelligence sharing and access to the Europe-led PURL weaponry scheme if Kyiv strikes Russian energy infrastructure, sources told the Kyiv Independent.

The threats followed a unilateral "energy ceasefire" announced by U.S. President Donald Trump, pressuring Ukraine to refrain from targeting Russian oil refineries even as Russian forces continue attacking Ukrainian power facilities.
