The US president said Washington has three strategies available for the Islamic Republic, and at this stage it relies on a naval blockade and economic pressure.

Donald Trump, in an interview with the program “America Speaks” on the network “The Real Voice of America,” said: “We can just leave them alone and they will lose. We can continue doing exactly what we’re doing now; basically move forward in a calm and easy way.”

He called the second option “really hard hitting” and the third option “defeating them economically,” and added that the third option is already being carried out.

Trump said: “Economically, they’re in disarray. They can’t borrow money. We control their money; the money they had and the amount is huge. I’m their banker.”
