US Central Command (CENTCOM) says that by Wednesday, American forces have diverted 59 merchant ships linked to the Islamic Republic, disabled three ships, and deployed two ships’ decks for inspections and to ensure full compliance with the blockade.

The statement, published alongside an image on the X network, says that a fighter jet has taken off from the deck of the USS George H. W. Bush; the aircraft carrier is moving in the waters of the region and is supporting the implementation of the “Steel Wall” blockade by the United States against the Islamic Republic.

After the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps restarted attacks on ships in the Strait of Hormuz, the United States resumed its maritime blockade against the Islamic Republic on Tir 23.

According to reports from tanker-tracking companies, since the start of the maritime blockade, Iran’s oil exports have been completely halted.
