The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) said the number of humanitarian responders and staff killed worldwide in 2025 reached 350 people, 186 of whom were in the Gaza Strip.
Based on this report, published on the occasion of World Humanitarian Day, Gaza was the deadliest place in the world for aid workers for the third year in a row. Sudan ranked second with 71 killed.
The figures are slightly lower than in 2024, when 377 aid workers were killed.
