🔸 Ukraine’s president says the U.S. president has agreed that Ukraine will produce advanced air-defense “Patriot” missiles.

🔸 Volodymyr Zelensky said on Friday, the 3rd of Mehr, that Donald Trump, in their latest meeting, told him that a final decision had been made and that “Ukraine will receive the permits to produce Patriot missiles.”

🔸 In July, Donald Trump had said that granting the permits for production of these missiles in Ukraine would be “very good,” but then backed away from his position and said the United States should be “very cautious” before issuing such permits.

🔸 Advanced air-defense “Patriot” missiles are considered among the most effective weapons for countering ballistic missiles, and Ukraine is facing a severe shortage of these missiles in its war with Russia.

🔸 The French news agency has reported that even if the permits are issued, establishing the necessary industrial capacity to produce Patriot missiles in Ukraine would take more than a year and cannot meet Kyiv’s immediate needs.
