Ukraine’s president said his country will continue its long-range attacks on Russia as long as Moscow does not accept an energy ceasefire. Volodymyr Zelensky said on Monday via video appearance at the Warsaw Security Conference that such a ceasefire has not yet been established.
According to him, at the same time, Russian airstrikes on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure have continued.
In his remarks, Zelensky said, “Vladimir Putin, the president of Russia, doesn’t want a social truce,” and added, “If Russia does not accept an energy ceasefire, we respond.”
Earlier, Mr. Trump, in response to the announcement of an energy ceasefire by Donald Trump, said that “from this moment, an energy ceasefire is in place in the war between Russia and Ukraine. Both sides have agreed.”
