🔸The UK prime minister says it has agreed to provide Saudi Arabia with “defence support and air refueling” against Houthi attacks.

🔸Andy Burnham, on Monday, 30 Shahrivar, said the move is in response to Saudi Arabia’s request to receive “military support.”

🔸The UK government has announced that the timing of the plan is “limited,” and under it the Royal Air Force is expected to help Saudi Air Force fighter jets in intercepting and bringing down Houthi missiles and drones.

🔸To provide this support, Britain will dispatch an air refuelling “Voyager” aircraft to the region in the coming days.

🔸In talks with reporters, Mr. Burnham linked the decision to “the cost of living pressures” and “securing Britain’s interests,” and said: “Saudi Arabia has experienced attacks and there is the possibility of further disruptions, and we must keep these routes open and for this reason we agree to this request.”

🔸The UK prime minister said that, on the advice of Lee Stretton, the defence minister, and David Miliband, the UK foreign secretary, it approved the request.
