🔸The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations (UKMTO) says that an oil tanker, while on its way out of the Strait of Hormuz, was hit by a projectile.

🔸According to this report, the incident led to a minor fire.

🔸The organization said the fire had been contained and that no report had been released about damage to the crew or the environment.

🔸In recent weeks, reports have been published about attacks on mostly smaller oil tankers that were on their way out of the Strait of Hormuz. In most cases, no person, group, or country has specifically claimed responsibility for these attacks; however, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has repeatedly warned that as long as the maritime blockade of Iran’s ports continues, no other oil tanker can pass through this waterway.
