The UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization announced that, since October 1, 20 attacks have been reported in the Strait of Hormuz.

According to the report by this organization, two of these attacks took place on Wednesday.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization added that in each of these cases, the ships were targeted by “unknown projectiles.”

According to the report on the website of the UK Maritime Trade Operations Organization, in recent days these attacks have intensified, and as an example, four attacks were reported on October 11.

Some experts say that following the United States’ attacks on the Islamic Republic’s coastal radars, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps is now using small boats to identify commercial vessels transiting the Strait of Hormuz in order to attack them.

Earlier, Pete Hegseth, the U.S. Secretary of Defense, warned that if the Islamic Republic fires at U.S. ships, U.S. forces will “destroy and sink” its oil tankers.
