The UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre late on Tuesday, 21 Mehr, issued two separate warnings, saying that a container ship and a tanker in the Strait of Hormuz were hit by “projectiles of unknown origin.”

The organization said it received reports of the two incidents from verified sources and that the relevant authorities are investigating them.

The UK Maritime Trade Operations Centre also asked vessels to exercise caution when passing through the area and to report any suspicious activity.

These warnings did not mention the identity of the attackers or the extent of damage or any possible casualties.
